Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands-on technical professional responsible for designing, developing, and executing software engineering
best practices to ensure applications meet IT standards for quality, reliability, security, performance, and architectural requirements.
Able to design and develop applications using PHP, CakePHP, MySQL, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML and CSS.
Develop third-party integrations through REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and XML outputs.
Implementation of different caching techniques like Redis, Memcached etc.
Develop DML and DDL to update databases.
Working on various PHP packages: debugkit, simplehtmldom, dropbox, less, csvparser, snoopy, jpgraph,
google analytics, fckeditor, fedex, fpdf, zipArch, recaptcha, phpdocx etc.
Able to debug existing applications.
Write unit tests to prove code works as intended.
Able to work on containerized applications (Docker etc.).
Profile code and database to measure and improve application performance.
Research new technologies and incorporate them into our applications.
Work closely with other developers, QA engineers and product managers in all phases of the project life cycle.
Write and maintain documentation supporting the code and application.
Ensure that your deliverables are of very high quality and meet deadlines.
Stay current with new technologies and best practices. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Engineering (BE or B.Tech or MCA) degree from a reputed College/University.
Relevant experience of 6 to 10 years doing programming in LAMP Stack, PHP, CakePHP, JavaScript / jQuery
/ Angular, MySQL / MongoDB, HTML and CSS.
Experienced in software development, unit testing strategies and identifying the right tools for development,
testing, and deployment.
Good knowledge in SaaS model, enterprise/complex applications.
Hands-on technical resource with experience in:
Designing and developing mission critical products.
Agile Scrum methodology.
Extensive knowledge in Object Oriented Paradigms.
Coding using PHP, CakePHP, JavaScript Framework, CSS3 and HTML5.
Developing third party integrations through REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and XML outputs.
JavaScript (native, jQuery, and AngularJS)
Version control systems (Git, SVN etc.)
Web servers (Apache, NGINX)
Reviewing and merging code via pull requests on GitHub / Bitbucket / GitLab.
JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket tools experience
Unit testing (PHPUnit, Behat, Jasmine, Watir, Selenium, etc.)
*nix CLI (bash, ksh, etc.)
AWS and DevOps (Strong plus)
Code refactoring and code reviews.
Design Patterns Architectures.
Exposure to Microservices.
Unit testing of PHP MVC web based applications.
Bootstrap and Responsive Design.
REST based APIs and Web services.
Docker/ Container Virtualization.
Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and distributed product teams.
Able to work directly with overseas colleagues and stakeholders. Prior experience of working with
international colleagues or customers is a strong plus.
Strong English spoken and written skills.
Experience of working in a Product development company is a strong plus.
Ability to collaborate with remote teams in different time zones.
Flexible as per work demands incl. working schedules that involve meeting with overseas colleagues in the
evenings/night or early in the morning.
