We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Officer to join our real estate team in Mumbai. The Legal Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and providing expert legal advice in various matters related to real estate transactions and property development projects.

 

Job role:

Legal Compliance:

• Review and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to real estate and property transactions.
• Monitor changes in relevant legal frameworks and update internal stakeholders accordingly.
• Ensure that all real estate activities adhere to the necessary legal requirements.

 

Contract Drafting and Review:

• Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and construction contracts.
• Identify potential legal risks and propose suitable contractual clauses to mitigate those risks.

 

Due Diligence:

• Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on properties and projects to identify any potential legal issues or liabilities.
• Provide recommendations based on due diligence findings and work on resolving any identified issues.

 

Litigation Management:

• Collaborate with external legal counsel to manage litigation and dispute resolution related to real estate matters.
• Assist in representing the company's interests in legal proceedings and negotiations.

 

Regulatory Approvals:

• Assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from relevant authorities for real estate development projects.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with zoning, environmental, and other relevant regulations.
