We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for an individual with a deep passion for leading development of digital products and a strong commitment to delivering excellence to our clients. In this position, you will work closely with clients. Digital Consultants, Project Managers, and our team of Software Engineers to drive innovation and create outstanding digital solutions. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery: Entirely responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the project. Client based projects, client liaison, pre-sales, and cross-functional development. Project Planning and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan project requirements and timelines. Allocate resources effectively and optimize team capacity for maximum productivity. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for project success. Stakeholder Management: Establishing significant relationships with clients and keeping open lines of communication for updates and feedback. Strategy: Formulate and implement technical strategies for the assigned project that align with the company's objectives. This includes technological innovation, capability development, process optimization, and technology trend analysis. Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team including the development and QA members. Effective Time Management: Identifying bottlenecks early to help in the timely completion of a project. Forecasting our available resources effectively to face sudden challenges related to resources and solve them with ease. Product Team Collaboration: Understand technical solutions offered by product/design team and able to identify gaps/breaks code Quality and Technical Excellence: Enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain high-quality code. Implement strategies to measure and enhance code performance and efficiency. Monitor and profiling: App performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Optimize app performance to deliver a smooth user experience on various devices. Project Delivery and Execution: Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of all Front-end projects. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline project execution. Implement best practices to optimize the development process and reduce project delivery time. Solution Security and Data Protection: Ensure that the applications adhere to security and data protection standards. Project Planning and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with stakeholders to plan project requirements and timelines. Allocate resources effectively and optimize team capacity for maximum productivity. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for project success. Cross-Functional collaboration: Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to integrate apps with other platforms. Ensure seamless data synchronization and compatibility across different devices. Continuous Integration and Deployment: Establish and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline for Full stack app deployments. Must Have Qualifications Educational Foundation: Bachelors degree in engineering or related fields. Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background and proficiency in web application development technologies, frameworks, and languages. Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, etc.). Knowledge of web development best practices, design principles, and emerging trends. Leadership and Management Skills: Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in a technology or software development setting for at least 3 years Ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers, providing guidance and support. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Client Engagement Experience: Proven track record in client-facing roles, adept at understanding and fulfilling client needs and maintaining strong client relationships. Project Management: Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of web applications. Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies. Problem-Solving Skills: Adept at solving complex technical problems and making informed decisions. Ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance on technical issues to the team. People Development: Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Strategic Thinking: Ability to align the engineering team's efforts with overall business objectives. Strategic thinking to contribute to the long-term vision and goals of the organization. Quality Assurance and Testing: Knowledge of software testing methodologies and the ability to ensure high-quality deliverables. Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Adaptability: The capacity to adapt to changing priorities, technologies, and business requirements. Experience with DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices, automation tools, and cloud services. Development Frameworks: Familiar with common development frameworks / tools (eg. Jenkins, maven, Git, etc) Exceptional Communication Ability: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, vital for articulating design concepts and making presentations. Nice To Have Qualifications Advanced Education or Certification: Master's degree or specialised certifications in Computers or Engineering. Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills: Basic understanding of the architecture of projects and providing solutions to better collaborate with engineering teams. Project Management Acumen: Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira or Asana. Business Strategy Insight: Understanding of business principles and experience in employing design thinking for strategic initiatives. Maintain strong, positive client relationships and contribute to business growth. Demonstrate continuous learning and application of new design trends and methodologies.
