Overview Of Dept / Function HSBC Workforce Strategy & Insights function is a global team working across geographies and operate across 4 key pillars: Pillar 1 - Enablement (helps in managing data/reporting services, building & maintaining the HR BI platform, and driving HR data literacy across the Bank) Pillar 2 - Consulting (helps in acquiring new projects and engagement avenues for People decisions within the Bank) Pillar 3 - Data Science (studying quantitative/qualitative data & help in making key strategic people related decisions for the future of the Bank) Pillar 4 - Delivery (Driving governance around unified view of backlog and promoting Agile way of working across the pillars) A successful candidate for this role will be part of Pillar 1 - Enablement, Service delivery in Bangalore location. The role will require individual to apply data analytics skills to support incoming data/reporting requests, to streamline the bespoke MI/Reporting service, PowerBI Development and extend support to BI adoption initiatives in a time sensitive environment. What You'll Do The Analyst/Senior should have experience in developing impactful reports and dashboards using DAX and power bi tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them to data driven solution. The individual is required to create compelling visuals and define efficient data models leading to effective solutions. The responsibility of maintaining existing reports and streamlining the process of data procurement also needed to be carried by the incumbent, as the role requires you to be the part of larger team, the expectation is to take responsibility of deliverables and play active role in doing feasibility analysis and requirement elicitation. There is a need to comply with organizational standards and adhere to templates which the enablement pillar is expected to deliver the solution in. Sees the "bigger picture" and assesses relationships between recommended analytical solutions / projects and business performance. Good understanding of business domain, functional goals, and the required technical expertise Owns larger objectives for digital insights priorities and delivery of analytical solutions for the business stakeholders across one of more regions Co-author the contents/visualization using BI platform and partner with GSO/senior stakeholders in evolving their products by adopting analytical strategies / decision making to achieve a higher value. Translate key analytical solutions as generic and re-deployable across regions / markets This role is based out of Workforce Strategy & Enablement, Bangalore under Enablement specialism. The principal accountability would be to drive the evolution of BI product, promote self-service, and enhance the engagement with existing product/solution being created, generate data reports and analytics to support business activities, projects, product planning, performance measurement, regulatory requests and decision making. The incumbent to work as individual contributor: Principal Accountabilities Create, Manage, and maintain power bi based reports. Create, Manage, and maintain data flows to power solutions Create visuals that translates to user's requirements. Do a feasibility analysis for the received requirements. Create a documentation covering the process from ask to developed solution. Define Data governance and refresh schedules to maintain data integrity and schedule adherence. Plays key role in consulting with stakeholders to understand business problems and design data-driven solutions Demonstrate acceptable level of productivity, Functional and Technical understanding of the business problem Typical KPIs and Targets Setting stakeholder expectations and adhering to schedules Complying to organisational standards while designing solutions Maintain Data sanity across drafted solution.
