Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of user-centered digital experiences. As a UI/UX Developer, you will be responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to create seamless and engaging user experiences across our digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. UI/UX Design:
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to understand user requirements and business goals.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that effectively illustrate design concepts and user flows.
- Develop user personas, user journeys, and interaction models to guide the design process.
- Design visually compelling user interfaces that align with the brand's visual identity and user expectations.
2. Front-End Development:
- Implement responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ensure seamless integration of design elements, graphics, and animations.
- Optimize user interfaces for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate UI components with server-side functionality.
3. User Research and Testing:
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to iterate and improve interface designs.
- Analyze user behaviour and usage patterns to make informed design decisions.
- Incorporate user insights and feedback into design revisions to enhance user experiences.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design and development efforts.
- Clearly present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
- Participate in design critiques and brainstorming sessions to foster a collaborative environment.
5. Stay Updated:
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to UI/UX design and development.
- Share knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Django etc.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar tools.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with responsive and mobile-first design approaches.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.
