AC/ DC Design Engineer @ Bajaj Finserv

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing AC and DC electrical systems for a range of applications. As an AC/DC Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the conceptualization, design, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and constraints. Design and develop AC and DC electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and circuitry, for various applications. Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit analysis to ensure system performance and safety. Select appropriate components, equipment, and materials for AC/DC electrical systems, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and availability. Create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN). Conduct. design reviews to validate design concepts, identify potential issues, and optimize system performance. Work closely with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and structural engineers, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure electrical components and equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Master's degree is preferred. 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering design, with a focus on AC and DC systems. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, power distribution, and control systems. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Knowledge of industry standards and codes relevant to electrical engineering (e.g., NEC, IEC). Experience with electrical design tools and software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
