Job Description

The Database Administrator maintains the structure of Schneider Electric's SQL databases on both development and production levels. Essential Responsibilities: Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends Install and configure new SQL Servers Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 ,2012, 2014, 2016,2hidden_mobile Thorough understanding of Relational Databases, T-SQL Scripting, Database Normalization best practices, database technologies, and concepts. Proficient with SQL Development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code as well as design and code stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints. Experience troubleshooting and resolving database integrity and performance issues. Experience with Performance Tuning and Query Optimization. Experience working on small, medium and largescale projects. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and. troubleshooting tools Experience with backups, restores and recovery models Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory SQL Database/Database server Install/Configure/Decommission. SQL Database Upgrade/Patch Recommend/Test/Install (2008 ,2012, 2014, 2016,2hidden_mobile SQL Database Backup/Recovery/Refresh and backup tools. SQL Database Disaster Recovery Plan/Procedure/Test. SQL Database backups, Restore, recovery, and disaster recovery Plans. Configuring and troubleshooting Replication, log shipping, On Versions (2008 ,2012, 2014, 2016,2hidden_mobile ) Managing database object permissions, user accounts, and passwords. Qualifications Preferred Education, Experience and certification: 7+ years MS SQL Server Administration experience required. Successful track record in the hands-on support, monitoring, architecture, deploying, security, monitoring, performance and troubleshooting of SQL Server instances Demonstrated knowledge of database maintenance, recovery, and failover handling Schedule: Full-time Req: 008UAM
