Hybrid Working Structured hybrid role: At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business. Introduction: Work collaboratively with others in the BIA Model Risk team to support the delivery of model risk audits/assignments to a high standard in line with audit methodology and to support delivery of the BIA Audit Plan. The responsibilities will include audits of the necessary frameworks, policies, standards; and of the conceptual soundness of models, their documentation, validation, performance and fitness for use. What will you be doing Collaborate and support the Director and VPs to define the appropriate coverage strategy and audit plan for BIA model risk, taking into consideration the Audit Risk Appetite, the current and expected business environment, the regulatory requirements and the resourcing levels within the Function Manage audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed. Perform quantitative analysis, review and complete processes and documentation of scoping, risk & control identification, control evaluation and observations in BIA audit toolkit. Write high quality observations and audit reports (with input from the audit team). Provide complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting. Proactively take on additional tasks as requested by the BIA Director/Managing Director. What were looking for: Minimum expectations: Minimum of five years relevant work experience, operating in modelling / model monitoring / model validation / model risk management /model risk audit role. Skills that will help you in the role: Prior experience in model risk management or models related to traded products or financial derivatives or credit risk or fraud risk or climate risk or Artificial Intelligence /Machine Learning. Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and have difficult conversations with senior stakeholders (technical and non-technical). Strong written skills and meticulous adherence to detail. Quantitative postgraduate /Engineering (B Tech) degree or professional qualification (CFA, ACA, FRM, FIA, CAIA, MBA etc). Demonstrated project management experience and ability to conduct complex work under pressure Proven working experience and exposure on end-to-end audits. Experience in leading others in large project / initiatives / audit assignments Strong risk and control understanding Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, SAS, R) Proven track record of high performance in previous roles Knowledge about new and emerging financial products and services Display willingness and initiative to learn and share knowledge Where will you be working Pune Be More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
