Skill - Microsoft Infrastructure Architect

Degree Required: Bachelor s degree with five years of relevant experience; OR Master s degree with three years of relevant experience; OR Associates degree with eight years of relevant experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
We are actively seeking an experienced and versatile Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Architect with a strong background in Linux systems and DevOps practices. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform, ensuring seamless integration with Linux environments and embracing DevOps principles for automation and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1. Azure Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement end-to-end Azure solutions considering Linux-based workloads.
- Architect and deploy virtual machines, storage solutions, and networking components on Azure, ensuring compatibility with Linux environments.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines with Azure services.
2. Cloud Migration:
- Assess, plan, and execute the migration of on-premises Linux workloads and applications to Azure.
- Implement migration strategies to minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
3. Identity and Access Management:
- Design and implement Azure Active Directory solutions for effective identity and access management, with a focus on Linux users.
- Configure and manage Azure AD integration with on-premises Linux directories.
4. Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices for Azure infrastructure, focusing on Linux-based security measures.
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular security audits and assessments for both Azure and Linux environments.
5. Monitoring and Optimization:
- Implement robust monitoring solutions for Azure infrastructure components, particularly those supporting Linux workloads.
- Continuously optimize and improve resource utilization for cost-effectiveness in Linux and Azure environments.
6. Linux Systems Administration:
- Provide expertise in Linux systems administration, including server configuration, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure Linux-based applications run optimally in Azure.
7. DevOps Integration:
- Lead the integration of DevOps practices into Azure infrastructure, automating deployment, scaling, and management processes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, leveraging Azure DevOps or similar tools.
8. Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure architecture, Linux configurations, and DevOps processes.
- Provide training to IT teams on Linux and Azure best practices.
9. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, serving as a subject matter expert on Azure, Linux, and DevOps solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Azure architecture, Linux systems administration, and DevOps practices.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex Azure solutions for Linux workloads.

- Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certifications.
- Relevant Linux certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, LPIC-2, etc.).

- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, Linux systems administration, and DevOps principles.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, and Ansible.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
