Roles and Responsibilities Civil Design Engineer

1. Conduct site visits to evaluate terrain, soil conditions, and environmental factors that may impact civil design and construction.

2. Analyze site data to determine optimal locations for EPC solution including solar panel arrays, access roads, and other infrastructure components.

3. Develop detailed civil engineering designs, including foundation systems, support structures, and drainage systems, in accordance with project requirements and local building codes.

4. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools like STADPRO to create accurate drawings, schematics, and specifications.

5. Perform structural analysis and simulations to ensure the integrity and stability of civil structures under various loads, including wind, snow, and seismic forces.

6. Identify opportunities for design optimization to minimize material usage and construction costs while maintaining structural reliability.

7. Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements, zoning ordinances, and permitting processes to ensure that civil designs comply with all applicable regulations.

8. Prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals for construction.

9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate civil design requirements with electrical, mechanical, and environmental considerations.

10. Implement quality assurance measures to verify compliance with design specifications and construction standards.

11. Provide Technical support during the construction phase, resolving any design related issues that may arise.

12. Identify potential safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment for construction crews and implement the same in design.

Skill Requirements:

1. Must have 4-5 years of experience in the EPC and Solar Industry.

2. Education: B. Tech in Civil Engineering

3. Must have designed solar projects.

4. Sound knowledge of design engineering of structural steel, civil foundations, pilling, buildings, roads, drains and culverts and its associated services.

5. Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydra CAD.

6. Must be detail oriented and efficient in problem solving.

7. Knowledge of Indian design standard

8. Ability work in Team

9. Innovative design with focus on cost optimization

10. Knowledge of various suppliers and critical manufacturers

11. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including structural design, geotechnical analysis, and construction management.

12. Ability to optimize design and engineering solutions.
