Established in 1949, Family Planning Association of India (FPA India) is one of the oldest social impact organizations and has been recognized as India's leading organization working in the area of family planning, sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, women empowerment, young people and adolescent health. FPA India works through 45 branches and projects across 18 states and has a staff of over 1000 people, working across Branches and Projects and at the Headquarters. Staff is supported by over 3000 member volunteers at the governance level and around 96,0000 at the community/grassroots level. The pan-India presence of FPA India and a legacy of 71 years of changing lives has annually impacted 30 million vulnerable people across the country.
