Job Description
Looking For Storage AdministratorJob Description:-
Providing L2 support for the EMC VMAX, VMAX 3, Vnx, Hp3par storage,
Storage provisioning (Lun mapping & masking) using SYMCLI.
Monitoring and maintaining thin provisioning storage environment intact, in shared infra by performing VLUN migrations or array to array migrations
Implemented Virtual Provisioning from VMAX2/3 arrays to hosts by creating Data devices, Thin devices, Thin Pool, binding Thin devices to the pool, using SymCLI.
Implemented FAST for moving/swapping complete devices across different tiers, also FAST VP to automate the process of identification of thin device extents and reallocating application data across different performance tiers within an array in virtual provisioned environments.
Experience in conversion of Standard devices to BCV and dynamic devices
Responsible to maintain the SAN environment up to date. Resolving incident and change escalations related to storage, break fix issues and
Worked on incidents and change escalations for all these heterogeneous products. EMC VMAX2/3
Making sure the Fabric environment is healthy by monitoring the switches using multiple reporting tools. Shutting down the noisy ports, working with Site services and vendors to resolve any hardware issues with Fabric cables or GBICs or array ports
Troubleshooting routine issues including ports availability, zoning requirements, one-path down, enabling the path on source or destination arrays, data not migrated, host not seeing storage, path degraded between server and storage, connectivity issues.
Monitoring and maintaining majority Brocade and brocade fabric environments spread across multiple DCs
Monitoring and maintaining majority Brocade and brocade fabric environments spread across multiple DCs
Create and Dissolve Meta volumes and add Meta members.
Storage Provisioning for new hosts
Storage Provisioning/ reclamation for existing hosts
Performing Snap View operations using Unisphere Manager
Performing Mirror View operations using Unisphere Manager
Perform daily health checks .
Performing upgrades/downgrades of Firmware
Troubleshooting Switch issues
Performing Zoning on Brocade Switches
Configuring ISL Trunking on Brocade Switches
Monitoring SAN switches for errors using Brocade Manager.
Trouble shooting day-to-day problems.
Monitor SAN environment using ECC.
Handled Allocation & de-allocation of LUN's for Vnx like creating RAID groups, Binding LUN's, assigning LUN's to the host via storage groups.
