Senior System Engineer - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Cerner Healthcare

Job Description

Cerner India is expanding, and we are looking forward to hiring a Senior System Engineer for our Infrastructure Service team of Shared Service organization. In this role you will be helping Cerner to scale and transition the team. As a Senior System Engineer of UNIX (AIX/HP-UX/Linux) you will be required to deliver multiple project tasks on-time while following all process and procedures , escalating issues as necessary, and creating/updating all necessary documentation. In addition, the Senior System Engineer is responsible for but not limited to OS installs, upgrades, hardware moves and migrations, new server builds, providing advanced escalation support (including engaging vendor support), performance monitoring and tuning, host configuration of provisioned SAN storage and project management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Overall 4 years of UNIX Support experience including AIX, HPUX, and Linux operating systems.
• Good Knowledge of IBM and HP hardware
• Overall Understanding of high availability system design concepts and configuration best practices

• Basic knowledge of Multi-pathing software, such as HP Auto-Path, MPIO, Secure path
• Current RHCE/IBM AIX/HP UX certification

• Willing to work overtime or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
