Job Description
We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Trading Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will drive trade performance of the ecommerce site by improving the trading of online marketing campaigns and promotions, product speed to market, product presentation and navigation and product discoverability.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver overall trading strategy for the eCommerce site, including the product and pricing strategy.
- Improve commercial performance using data sources including web analytics data on traffic, conversion and AOV.
- Manage the online trading team and ensure team members are performing
- Act as primary liaison between the eCommerce and Marketing teams to ensure maximum trading benefit from marketing campaigns
- Oversee the collation of online product assets and data to ensure products are placed online quickly and accurately
- Optimize product data and descriptions to ensure best practice and optimal user experience on product and product listing pages
- Schedule and set product pages live and set expiration dates where needed
- Use product page performance reports to identify where revenue can be increased
- Optimize product data identified in reports and assess changes in KPIs as a result of the changes
- Identify issues and risks relating to products which are not driven by product data (i.e. no stock / low stock, broken page content)
- Liaise with buyers to organise more stock if possible/appropriate
- Raise development requests with development team where pages require fixing or flag opportunities for usability improvements
- Work with the eCommerce team to suggest and execute A/B tests relating to product pages
- Create and optimize product collections that meet online customer expectations and needs
- Optimize product categorization and product display
- Consistently improve and refine on site product recommendations to enhance AOV/overall revenue.
- Repair broken searches and suggest potential campaigns based on search trends.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in an eCommerce environment
- High attention to detail

- A/B testing and analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in coordination with development and support team.
