What success looks like in this role:

Acts as the first line manager for a Security Operations Center (SOC).
Key Responsibilities
u2022 Responsible for the identification, tracking and management of enterprise risks. This includes performing risk assessments and measuring the success and effectiveness of mitigation efforts.
u2022 Identifies, evaluates, tests and implements appropriate security products, tools, and systems to establish and ensure a secure infrastructure.
u2022 Articulates security policies, guidelines and standards to customers and developers.
u2022 Evaluates, tests, recommends, develops, coordinates, monitors and maintains information systems (IS) and cyber security policies, procedures and systems, including access management for hardware, firmware and software.
u2022 Ensures that IS and cyber security architecture/designs, plans, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with IS standards and overall IS and cyber security.
u2022 Identifies security risks and exposures, determines the causes of security violations and suggests procedures to halt future incidents and improve security.
u2022 Develops techniques and procedures for conducting IS and cyber security risk assessments and compliance audits, the evaluation and testing of hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on system security, and the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
u2022 Implements IS and cyber security policies and takes measures against intrusion, frauds, attacks or leaks.
u2022 Provides leadership to managers; may also provide leadership to supervisors and/or professional staff.
u2022 Has accountability for the performance and results of multiple related units. Develops departmental plans, including business, production, operational and/or organizational priorities.
u2022 First line manager role having responsibilities for all staff and services delivered from the assigned Security Operations Center. May also have responsibilities for remote MSS staff and delivery aligned to the specific SOC, supporting a Mulit-Client delivery environment.
u2022 This role is the initial point of operational escalation for technical issues within the defined MSS delivery team.
u2022 Ensures staffing and knowledge are at a level appropriate to maximize service delivery capabilities while minimizing costs associated with that delivery, as well as meeting SLA and KPI targets for established services.
u2022 SME- Provides deep subject matter expertise in the architecture, policy, and operational processes associated with analysis and threat isolation/determination and client escalation. Leads or participates in remediation and/or optimization efforts in support of Unisys MSS clients. Provides guidance to Unisys MSS 3rd level technical support. This includes architecture review, rules and policy review/tuning. Establishes and communicates the extent of the threat, the business impacts and advises the most suitable course of action to contain and remedy the event. This role is expected to maintain an SME level knowledge of the Current Threat Landscape, help enhance current techniques and identify new methods of detecting threats on our customers networks.

Key Qualifications
u2022 Requires a Bacheloru2019s Degree in Security, Networking and a minimum of 7 years related Networking or Security experience or the equivalent, two of which should be in a team lead/managerial role OR 10 years, two of which being in a team lead or managerial role. Prior work experience should include:
u2022 Exposure to business development and presales support
u2022 Experience leading cyber security teams
u2022 Experience with personnel management, including hiring and performance tracking(Line Manager)
u2022 Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise in 1 or more of the cyber security products/offerings(SME).
