Technical Lead ( Test Automation ) - Chennai @ Genesys India

Job Description

The primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and good engineering judgment in anticipating and solving various engineering problems

• Work collaboratively with development and QA teams during all stages of software development life cycle

• Estimate project test efforts, create test plan and test cases for new features

• Development, documentation, and execution of automated tests across all stages of the product development lifecycle following best practices and methods

• Develop and maintain automated test environments

Technical Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science with 7+ years experience in software testing and validation

• 2+ year of practical experience with test automation tools

• 1+ year of test automation/design experience

• Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language, preferably JS or C#

• Experience in building automated test infrastructure and tools

• Practical experience in testing of distributed system (debugging techniques / fault isolation)

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Experience with version control systems such as git

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies

Pluses:

• Experience in building and maintaining of Cloud based automated test environments

• Exposure to AWS, azure

• Development and maintenance of automated tests under Jenkins

• Practical experience with relational DBs such as MSSQL, Oracle

• Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra

• Experience in testing of microservice-based applications

Personal Skills and Abilities:

• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Highly organized and self-motivated

• Ability to work well alone and as part of a distributed multicultural team

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Fluency in English
