Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Defines and implements CI/CD strategy for large cloud-based enterprise application.

Create and manage test/production environments in AWS Cloud.

Automate environment deployments into varied and complex environments using virtual machines, container / docker technology, cloud environments such as AWS.

Responsible for planning, executing, and completing CI/CD strategies.

Works for resolution of impediments by collaborating with appropriate stakeholders.

Spread the DevOps culture across the company.

Evaluate new technologies and AWS services as opportunity to improve.

Adhere to standard processes for cloud governance, security and business continuity.

Skills and Experience:

Must be hand-on on DevOps tools and technologies.

6+ years of working experience with automation tools to build and integrate software, like Jenkins, Gradle, Docker, GIT/Bitbucket/SVN, Spinnaker, Ansible, Terraform, SonarQube, Veracode.

Hands-on expertise on AWS services, like EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, EMR, EFS, Lambda, RDS, Route53, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch, EKS/ECS, etc.,

Hands-on expertise in scripting capabilities (python, bash) and data format languages (json, yaml).

Knowledge on Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge on cloud-native software architectures based on microservices, e.g. autoscaling, service discovery, service mesh, service gateways.

Hand-on expertise on production deployment strategies on cloud environment

Experience to work with JIRA.

Knowledge on Monitoring and Ticketing tools, e.g. Nagios, Site 24/7, CloudWatch, PagerDuty.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with specific experience and demonstrable success with the full software development lifecycle and using the Agile Development processes.

Expertise in independently evaluating tools and technologies based on product requirements.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
