Senior SW Engineer Cloud Native @ Affirmed Networks

Job Description

Responsibilities: As a Senior Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for Architecture, design and implementation of proprietary and open source projects targeted to run in public and private clouds.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of experience in software development, with recent experience deploying and using platform level projects and microservices in cloud environments.
Strong development and problem-solving skills are required.
Experience deploying MongoDB and developing Kubernetes operator(s) to manage upgrades and scaling of MongoDB.
Additional experience integrating applications with some or all of the following open source projects is a plus: Prometheus, Fluentd, Jaeger, Elastic Search, Kibana, Grafana, etcd, Helm, Kubernetes and Docker.
Life cycle management of open source applications.
Dev/Ops experience in cloud native environments.
Excellent Go Lang/Python programming skills and strong OOD knowledge.
Experience with all aspects of the software development process concept architecture, design, implementation and testing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the following skills will be an additional asset:
Agile software development processes
Education: Candidate should have a minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering. MS preferred.
