Your Role and Responsibilities

• Several WW systems supporting India (BMS, CIAS, ledger, iERP, HRMS.) underwent changes to support the ATTAC initiative to improve India's ability to demonstrate compliance.
• Along with these, a number of local systems were deployed as well. Many linkages between these systems help ensure that India compliance is properly managed.
• While each of these systems have their respective owners and SMEs, you will act as the SME to link the various elements and ensure we remain compliant through changes in the regulatory environment, (like GST, e-invoicing) new tax optimisations (hub billing changes), and new business needs. Your will own several of the India systems.

Responsibilities:

• When new WW rollouts planned to cover India (GUDA, IC2iERP, ***@***), You will coordinate the capture of India specific requirements and making sure that the new systems will interoperate with the existing system changes which are in place due to local requirements.
• You will hold the budget and manage development, rollout and ongoing management of a set of systems for IBM India. The systems address India specific regulatory requirements. They are developed in discussion with our SMEs in Tax, Treasury, Statutory Accounting, License Compliance, Controls, HR, Legal, etc. You will manage addressing the business needs while meeting statutory requirements. These systems cover the following areas:
• Asset management, including bonded assets, their transactions and reporting
• Stores and inventory management for IT assets
• License management, compliance and reporting
• Access management and badge issuance - India has both ERO and license requirements to meet, including SEZ ID cards
• People and asset transfers
• Statutory Reporting and document archival
• Contractor management - new system being developed

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 15 years of experience in Operations, Compliance and Strategy
• Analytical by nature, numerically capable and data friendly
• Strategic Advising and Executive Communication skills
• Proven Problem Solving Techniques and mindset

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Preferred experience in Operations, Strategy, Indian legal framework
• Desirable skills in advanced analytics tools like Python, SPSS or SAS
