Job Summary

The Red Hat IT Enterprise Applications team is looking for a Scrum Master to join our team. As part of our team, youll ensure the smooth operation of all Agile team processes and activities. This includes organizing and running daily stand-ups, planning and sizing sessions, backlog grooming sessions, and other ceremonies for multiple teams like O2C, S2R, etc for Kanban or Sprint boards. You will be responsible for tracking progress and burn-down by creating dashboards and reports as needed. Promote and implement new ideas & improvements in regards to scrum, work on reporting dashboards for highlights and capacity planning of the resources.

Primary job responsibilities

Schedule and facilitate daily stand-up meetings

Drive planning sessions through participation in backlog story grooming

Facilitate release planning

Coach team members to work together efficiently in an Agile way

Guide teams in using new tools and methodologies

Resolve impediments to team workflows

Coordinate with partner functions to ensure teams development work is reviewed in a timely and efficient manner

Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to acceptance

Develop a deep understanding of products and vision to help guide development

Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement

Create metrics to provide teams and the organization with relevant feedback

Promote Agile mindset throughout the organization

Convey project strategy, direction and changes to IT Leadership and other business stakeholders

Create and communicate project milestones and dependencies

Help the team enhance and improve and implement new features in Kanban board or equivalent.

Assist team and Product Manager with user story development and backlog grooming, including identifying unaccounted work

Track Story status and resolve stalled or blocked user stories as needed.

Develop metrics to measure to help improve team effectiveness, including dashboard reporting

Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity

Facilitate cross-team coordination through reaching out to the larger organization for impediment removal

Additionally work as an administrator for OneStream, Hyperion, Anaplan or equivalent EPM toolsets.

Required skills

Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience

Good understanding of product life cycle, including software development methodologies, design and implementation

Knowledge of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, and other Agile development techniques with 3+ years of relevant experience

Self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision

Must have solid foundation with test automation concepts and methods

Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills

Team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse personality types.

Ability to lead the team to reach their highest potential

Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is plus

Certifications including SAFe Scrum Master, PMP, PSM I, etc plus.

Administrative knowledge of the tools.

Demonstrated track record of delivering multiple software products to production using Agile methodologies

Data driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery

Excellent facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to influence change at all levels

Experience with other agile lifecycle management tools like Jira, Rally is a plus

Knowledge of the Red Hat products, Linux operating system, Open Source software development and application container technology is a plus

Must be comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments

Good communication skills with a friendly but assertive personality recommended
