Job Summary
We are searching for a candidate who is dedicated, open-minded, passionate about education & children, committed to lifelong learning, and an experienced energetic Physics teacher with an outstanding track record of teaching to join our team as a faculty. The Science Teacher's responsibilities include preparing stimulating lessons, identifying and analyzing student needs, strengths, and weaknesses, overseeing experiments, as well as setting and grading assessments. The Candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, respond well to criticism, and thrive under pressure. He/ she should well verse with physics. The Science Teacher's responsibilities include supervising students during investigations and experiments and acting as a field trip chaperone. He/ she should be able to teach students from different backgrounds, with varying aptitudes and interests.
As a science teacher, the faculty should be passionate about science and have a sound understanding of scientific rules and methods. Ultimately, an outstanding Teacher should engage students in meaningful and fun activities, creating an environment conducive to learning. The candidate should demonstrate passion and commitment to discipline. The candidates are able to multitask, source appropriate learning material, and also present their opinion to the class without making any student feel threatened for holding a different view and able to keep calm, and try their best to leave no student behind.
Responsibilities and Duties
Science Teacher Responsibilities:
- Understanding curriculum requirements and creating a syllabus, lesson plans, and educational content that satisfy these requirements.
- Analyzing the needs, strengths, and weaknesses of students and structuring lessons and assessments around them.
- Adjusting teaching methods to suit different groups of learners.
- Creating engaging, stimulating lesson plans and asking frequent questions to make sure students are on track.
- Providing extra support to students that require it, and more challenging tasks to those who are ahead of the class.
- Keeping abreast of developments and research in the field, and using this to ensure lessons are relevant.
- Reporting any progress issues to the head of the department, as well as the parents.
- Attending meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and other continuing education initiatives.
- Supervising lab sessions, delivering practical demonstrations, and accompanying students on field trips.
- Keeping the line of communication open between students, staff, and parents.
- Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly.
- Informing and preparing students for science fairs and expos.
- Handling various administration functions, which include updating student records and keeping track of lab supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Building rapport with students so that they feel comfortable and safe discussing sensitive topics in class.
- Active usage of Smart Classroom
Required Experience and Qualifications
Qualification/ Requirements:
- Bachelor's/ Masters degree in Science with B.Ed, or equivalent, the candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a reputed school with a proven track record as a Science teacher.
- Familiarity with different types of teaching styles and the use of science labs.
- Patience, innovation, and knowledge of classroom management and student discipline.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- The ability to execute lessons with meaning, in a fun, and engaging manner.
- Computer Skills.
- Higher Qualification & Experience will get preference
