JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER


Company- ASPEE Group of Companies

A leading 73 year old group, market leaders, manufacturer and exporter of Agriculture Sprayers, Crop Dusters, Nozzles etc. (we are not looking for seeds/ Fertilizer / Pesticide companys candidate, looking for core sales person who has experience in farm mechanized product/ Agri. based Engineering products like diesel engine/sprayers)

Position- DGM (Sales & Marketing) Should have handled 50 Cr. Turnover. 15 days traveling whole North Zone


Experience 10-20 Yrs.


Roles & Responsibilities-


-Tour days

15/20 days in a month


Every day Activities
1.Follow up with ASM about sales generated during the day.
2 Aware of each SLO and see whether they tour as per plan.
3.Sales activities
4.Competitors activities.
5.Visit to important Govt. officials and canvassing orders.
6.Know subsidy allocations and share taken by ASPEE. Follow-up Tenders and other enquiries from your area.
7.Visit to important dealers with ASM,Sales executives or some time alone.
Weekly Activities
1.Monitor activities of daily activities of Sales executives and Assistant Sales Manager and daily area sales, order collected, visit made etc.,
2.Monitor Scheme orders collected from area. If not, pay personal attention and see that everyone od dealers and distributors avail the scheme.
3.Make summary of area reports gathered from ASM and SLO and submit to HO along with comparison of Target for the month.


Visit or tour during the month
1.Visit important and potential districts (at least two states per month) of each state under you and dealers giving sale over Rs. 5 or 10 lacks depending upon the potentiality of the area.
2.Assess target achieved by them and reasons for failure. Help them make up the target and report to HO.
3.See they give better sales then last year to qualify for incentives offered by company and come up to higher bracket of sale.
4.Check stocks, orders, advance order placed, schemes available and availed by distributors.
5.Distributors and ace dealers order planning, stock held, display made.
6.Kissan Mela and exhibitions coming up in the area and our participation.
7.Sales activities carried out by distributors and encourage them to do it.
8.Distributors visit to dealers and complying with requirement mentioned in our agreement with them.
9.See the impact of our ad campaign. If not making impact makes suggestions to HO.
10.Visit important farmers.
11.Visit distributors of the area of at least two states or more depending upon the nos, distributors in a state.
12.Attend at least one service camp or Demo.
13.Arrange one farmer meet at least 6 in a year.
Monthly Activities
1.Summarize all above and submit in a prescribed report form to company.
2.Arrange monthly meeting of your ASM and SLO at convenient place

3.Visit HO at least once in two months for briefing. Or when called for review meeting.
4.Submit your equipment wise plan of sales and activities for the next month.
5.Attend HOD meeting held every month by HO if not once every two months.
6.Submit area requirement month wise, equipment wise and distributors wise to company.
Quarterly Activities
1.See that your ASM and each SLO Collect month wise, orders for equipment and spare parts from your each distributors & dealers and send them to HO before 15 days each quarter begins.
2.HO will appreciate if placed before 30 days each quarter begins.
3.This will help you to make you plan for the next quarter. Plan for half yearly meet of all DGM, ASM & SLO and key production staff in consultation with other DGM and HO.
Yearly Activities
1.Arrange dealers meet of each state.
See that more than 90% of dealers attend such meeting.
All planning of venue, gift and other arrangement in consultation with distributors should be done.
Also arrange one day prior the meeting with ace dealers to discuss their individual target.
2.Arrange meeting with ASM and SLO for annual target, plan and budget and submit to company before 15th February every year.
3.Arrange one to one meeting of each distributors of your area with you, ASM, and respective SLO and company at HO for setting up the target and annual activity plans between February and March every year with the convenience of HO.
4.Submit assessment report of each ace dealer, distributors and state under you to company so far as sales and market is concern.
5.Plan for annual meet of all DGM, ASM & SLO and key production staff in consultation with other DGM and HO at HO.
6.Submit quotation for rate contract in each state under you in consultation with company.
7.Get our rates approved under various Government Schemes.
8.Get our samples passed.
9.Complete all formality and see that companys rates are approved on rate contract.
10.Arrange and attend:
1.All monthly meetings with your marketing staff
2.Half yearly & annual meetings arranged by HO
3.State level dealers sales meeting . This is compulsory.
4.You must attend meeting whenever called by company.
11. Your Knowledge of correspondence in English is must and you should be independently be able to correspond in good business English language.
12. Any lapses on above with have impact on your service.
13. You must know to operate computer program ERP used by company.

NOTE:
The DGM has to send the report by 3rd of Every month.
