Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Should have 7+ years of hands-on development and support experience in Ab Initio and Teradata.
• Experience in developing graphs, dynamic graphs, p-sets, plans and use various components and features of Ab Initio in day-to-day development activities.
• Experience in Teradata SQL queries, tune the SQL queries, develop macros and procedures, and able to use all kinds of load utilities in Ab Initio.
• Debug the issues in Ab Initio and Teradata, address and fix them immediately in any environment.
• Provide the root cause analysis for the problems identified in Production environment, and provide the solutions.
• Should be willing to adopt to work in Agile methodology.
• Coordinate and work with US stakeholders, architects and leads. Timely report of status updates.
• Regularly contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
• Conducting analyses including finding root cause and solutions to issues
• Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Essential Qualifications

• Ab Initio 3.2v or higher, Teradata, Unix Shell scripting and Autosys (or any scheduling tool)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in ETL - development using Ab Initio 3.2 or higher versions and Teradata.
• Should be strong in UNIX Shell scripting and RDBMS, Teradata is preferred.
• Experience in working with multiple data source systems includes any kind of RDBMS / Mainframe or any other.
• Should have strong debugging skills in Ab Initio and Teradata. Should be able to address the bugs immediately in production environment.
• Should have good understanding on Ab Initio architecture and EME - Metadata concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to cope well with change in a dynamic environment and deal effectively with ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the partners with ease.
