 In this role, you have the opportunity to be part of Global Procurement Team and have a visible impact on finding the best way adopt and implement Regulatory & Quality Management Systems across Philips Healthcare Businesses for Supplier Transfer Projects. You will have the opportunity to perform supply base transfer, Dual manufacturing, Localization, Supply chain optimization on diverse set of geographies. You will be working closely on range of medical products such as MR, Ultrasound, Cath labs, CT, Personal Healthcare and Connected Care.
You are responsible for
o Responsible for DFM and DFA activities & optimization of design for cost reduction.
o Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks.
o Apply GD&T and perform Tolerance stack-up analysis for components/Sub-system.
o Developing manufacturing specifications by using CAD tools like Solid works & Creo for modeling, assembly, detailing including drawing conversions & generating BoM.
o Perform hand calculations to support the design and sound knowledge of Strength of Material.
o Responsible for First Article Inspections and wherever required perform measurements.
o Work with supplier, procurement engineer to complete the Prototype and qualifications.
o Knowledge in Test fixtures design & development based on component/sub-system functionality.
o Understand Requirements to design & perform unit level verifications to confirm with requirements.
o Responsible for unit level testing and integration of unit in accordance with the higher-level Requirement and Design specifications / architectures.
o Reliability and Serviceability of the system / subsystem / component.
o Responsible for creating/updating DMR/DHF in the respective tools.
o Perform FEA (if required)
o Life Cycle Manager for Philips Medical Installed Base of Product(s)/Product line(s).
o Manage the obsolescence and product issues
o Effectively resolve customer complaints or production issues
o Manage the internal and external stakeholders effectively
o Manage the multi-disciplinary cross functional team (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Service, Marketing, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory,) to realize results
o Prepare, plan, track and coordinate cross functional teams located across geographies and manage project deliverable.
o Accountable for overall delivery of project in line with QMS and PRP process as per the agreed multi-site Quality Agreement.
o Coaching and Supporting junior team members
o Ensuring business continuity and revenues.
Sustaining, Obsolesce Management
Additional job responsibility
o Perform Route Cause Analysis and provide solution to fix product defects
o Responsible to manage and execute CAPA.
o Responsible for executing end to end Engineering Change Management Cycle
o Responsible to conduct Impact assessment with various cross-functions and provide project execution planning
o Responsible for performing required changes in part design, Bill of Material and related documents as per Philips Quality Management Systems
o Responsible to co-ordinate with supplier and co-develop sustainable manufacturing process for various parts
o Responsible for verifying the part at sub-system & System Level
o Should own responsibility of RoHS/Reach conformity
You are a part of
Engineering & Procurement cross-functional team responsible for R&D knowledge transfer, localization, global transfer projects in Idea to Market (I2M), Market to order (M2O) and Order to customer (O2C). KPIs include new part development, BOM savings, reverse engineering, value engineering projects, global product & parts transfers, part of extended team of design authority, new cost savings ideas supporting procurement processes.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
o M.Tech /B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical engineering
o 8+ years of relevant experience in design & development of mechanical sub-systems & systems.
o Working Knowledge of structural design, CAD (Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings), experience in FEA analysis is preferred.
o Working experience in Sheet Metal, Machining, Welding & Surface treatment design & development techniques.
o Strong understanding of Sheet Metal, Machining, Welding & Surface treatments/coatings (Metals) manufacturing processes.
o Good at hand calculation of the design
o Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks
o Identifying the suitable material, Creating EBOM, DFM/DFA
o Experience in latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes
o Create functional requirement documentation
o Working Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards is preferred
o Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
o System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
o Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
o Be structured and self-organized
o Excellent communication skills
o Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
o Quality mindset in design and documentation
