Job Description
A. Position Summary:
The Cyber Security Associate should act as a front line of defense to protect organizational data and assets from various threats. This includes designing, building and defending scalable, secure, and robust security systems. Working on operational data center systems and networks and helping PLIL understand advanced cyber threats.
Possess good understanding on various security components such as AV, SIEM, IDAM, PAM, MDM, NAC, MFA etc. Perform proactive monitoring and protecting sensitive data and systems from intrusions through VAPT tools. Analyse logs and reports from different security devices. Prepare and present security dashboard on periodic basis for management review.
B. Key Responsibilities:
The candidate shall be responsible for the following:
- Monitor organizations networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when occurs
- Good knowledge and understanding of security software / tools, such as Antivirus, SIEM, DLP, MDM, IDAM, PIM, MFA, NAC and data encryption etc, to protect organizational information.
- Prepare reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches
- Conduct penetration testing, which is when analysts simulate attacks to look for vulnerabilities in their systems before they can be exploited
- Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends
- Support implementation of security components on public cloud such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
- Lead incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage
C. Job Specifications:
Qualifications:
1. Graduate/Post Graduate in CS/IT.
2. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CEH, CISM, ITIL
Experience:
1. Overall 5+ years of relevant experience in information security in industry like insurance, banking or financial services
2. Knowledge of information security standards such as ISO, PCI etc.
D. Key Core/ Behavioral Competencies
1. Candidate should be good at written and oral communication skills
2. Candidate shall have ability to collaborate with functional teams and work closely on information security initiatives
3. A learning aptitude towards new technologies and upcoming trends in the market.
