Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
SW development Coding styles, SW processes, ASPICE, Architecture
Quality On Time Delivery Align closely with the AWX and SaaP Leadership and be responsible for best-in-class delivery of Software for Harman AudioworX platform and concepts. Establish clear KPI s and their tracking.
Aligning the product scope Closely align the scope for the development with the AWX platform lead and stakeholders in order to maximize the product value and competitiveness in the market
SW Product Lifecycle Strong adherence to product lifecycle with clear actionable plans and traceability
Develop Lasting and Winning Relationships Strong alignment with the AWX engineering teams to ensure Harman AudioworX is a solid baseline for the Automotive platforms and projects and extensions to Chip suppliers and other new upcoming projects or products.
Successfully releasing AudioworX The success of this role will be assessed on the timeliness and quality of AWX releases that have been made under this leadership
Leading a Team Develop a strong team of engineers, responsive to the needs of our businesses. Attract, retain and motivate best in class talent. Promote and develop top talent.
Business Acumen Some business acumen is expected to understand maximize the value of the product development and re-use of SW components
Working as a Team Player Lead and manage a team of DSP experts. Effectively communicate, motivate, coach and develop technical excellence. Get individuals, teams, and an entire organization to perform at a higher level and to embrace change; negotiate skillfully to achieve a fair outcome or promote a common cause; communicate a compelling vision and be committed to what needs to be done; inspire others; be considerate and resolve conflict; understand what motivates different people. Participate in the development of the Automotive plans and programs as a strategic partner.
Basic Qualifications:
An experienced leader with expert knowledge in DSP SW development and tools. A considerate, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards. Excellent technical skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and good focus on innovation. A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
SW Development Strong knowledge in DSP processors and Signal processing. Minimum 10 years of experience in DSP, Minimum 4 years of experience in audio processing.
Product Development experienced in driving and leading program and product execution technical capability to guide strategically and manage resources
Communication Skills - While it is required this person to be technically skilled, he/she must also be able to communicate effectively with customers and constituents outside the engineering organization.
Education and/or Experience:
Master's Degree preferred; or Bachelor's Degree or at least 12 years of related leadership experience and accountability in a DSP driven environment. Passioned for signal processing, audio and sound
Language Skills:
English: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
