Job Description
About the Role
- The candidate will be an Enterprise Risk Senior Associate in the SERM Shared Services Reporting team.
- A successful candidate will have a solid background in reporting, report development using Business Intelligence tools (Micro Strategy), understanding and utilizing relational databases and data warehouses, and be effective querying and reporting on large and complex data sets.
- An understanding of Data Governance, BCBS 239 reporting principles, and internal Wells Fargo policies and oversight groups including GO standards and artifacts will assist to maintain regulatory compliance standards.
- This role require an advanced knowledge of SQL and business analytics.
Responsibilities :
- Create and interpret Business Intelligence data (Reporting, Basic Analytics, Predictive Analytics and Prescriptive Analytics) combined with business knowledge to draw supportable conclusions about current and future risk levels.
- Design rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas.
- Extract and analyze data from multiple technology systems/platforms and related data sources to identify factors that pose a risk to WFC.
- Evaluate and correlate internal and external trends across different risk types to identify risk, emerging risk themes and understand potential impacts and aggregation risk.
- Analyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Conducting effective connections and processes with other risk programs, key risk types, sub types and others as warranted
- Being informed and communicating new or emerging risks, including appropriate escalation of concerns and issues, assuring the expected controls and control risk library are accurate, up to date and comprehensive at all times.
- Examining and providing input and feedback of the monitoring of existing risk profiles and practices, including appropriate escalation of concerns and issues
- Working with all stakeholders to assure each has the tools, processes and expertise to effectively manage technology risks and the risk management policy, methodology and process
Essential Qualifications :
- 4 to 8 yrs. of experience in developing visualization in MicroStrategy
- 3+ years SQL or Teradata experience
- Experience with BI tools such as SAS, Cognos, Tableau, Microstrategy, or SQL Server Reporting Services
- Experience researching and resolving data problems and working with technology teams on remediation of data issues
