The Facilities and Safety Manager is responsible for understanding, implementing and championing the company SafeGuard and Environmental Programs and overall facilities maintenance programs, philosophies and practices. The most qualified candidate will also provide leadership/direction in line with company values and promote a positive and progressive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsible for developing all safety and maintenance guidelines and processes, and overall training and knowledge of staff.
Responsible for all maintenance and housekeeping functions.
Manage, mentor and coach partners on recognizing hazards and working safely.
Communicate expectations and hold staff accountable through ongoing feedback, coaching and training.
Implement and drive 5S standards.
Contribute to all-warehouse/office cleanliness.
Maintain all facility equipment; informs management of any problems and resolves such issues.
Monitor and investigate all safety and maintenance concerns and work-related injuries and report to proper personnel and agencies.
Identify operations related risks and effective mitigation measures, to eliminate risk. Promptly address and seek resolution to all safety and maintenance issues.
Use business data and metrics to make effective decisions that improve the safety and maintenance of our staff to reduce potential liability.
Provide leadership and oversight of safety and maintenance programs and initiatives and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Implements appropriate best practices.
Ensure the company s risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable building safety, OSHA and other similar standards and regulations.
Evaluate loss prevention and location security practices, maintain and update policies.
Partner with General Manager and other members of the operations team to ensure that SafeGuard and maintenance policies are aligned.
Understand and hold team and local management accountable for compliance with work place safety and maintenance policies and guidelines.
Drive continual improvement in process and work environment.
Ensure information and safety updates are promptly communicated to team.
Promote a collaborative team environment through recognition, leading by example and working alongside staff, while promoting safety. Demonstrate approachability and foster open communication. Create an environment where staff are invested and encouraged to contribute ideas. Resolve and address all employee questions and concerns by partnering with company policies.
