Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Head of Department , Physics, Dhaka, Bangladesh
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Head of Physics Department.
The HODs responsibility will be teaching the given subject/s to the assigned classes. He or she will take lead in planning lesson collaboratively with other teachers teaching the same class. Ensuring that all students are attending the class and Maintaining proper discipline in the classroom.
The HOD will need to devise and use a wide variety of appropriate teaching strategies and also plan appropriate differential learning systems to meet the disparate needs of students of varying aptitude.
The HOD will take lead in ensuring all correction work is done on time and ensure entering all the marks of assignments, Homework, Tests, Exams in the marks register.
The HOD in consultation with the concerned personnel should be take lead in preparing the
syllabus, worksheets, teaching materials, question papers and sample papers for students.
Also Writing reports of students regarding their academic progress and Communicating with parents through the students diary or Front Desk regarding the academic related matters of the students.
The HOD is also expected to do remedial teaching and remedial work for weak students to bring them up to the expected standard. Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Principal/Principal.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred background: All qualified candidates must have a Masters degree or above, a minimum of
10 years' experience in teaching Physics. Candidates with international Schools experience and
having an international education background will have an added advantage.
