- A. Position Summary:
Achieve targeted business results in Defence segment through effective translation of the business strategy into collated Branch Plans. Provide leadership and motivation to the Defence Sales team towards raising performance standards, and be a valuable resource to the Company.
B. Key Responsibilities:
1.Deliverables:
- o Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of Area Operation Plans with specific focus towards product availability, distribution and activity management within Defence network;
- o Facilitate the business planning and implementation process for the business
- o Effective leadership for Branch Managers/ Office Heads
2. Business Results
- o Ensuring alignment of volume and market share objectives for the retail business facilitate for DPLI products
- o Monitor and evaluate achievement of sales against expectation
3. Process
- o Streamlining and development of processes to ensure smooth management
- o Optimize cost across your business
- o Ensure service excellence through effective use of different training modules and selling skills program.
4. Resource Management
- o Operational Cost Management
- Ensure cost efficiency in all aspects of all operations of the respective branches including fixed costs.
- Drive efficiencies in onward distribution expenses and in branch support expenditure
- Support the Companys Retail Strategy Plan.
- o Relationship Management- Internal
- For overall operational effectiveness, partner/ influence with support functions namely
- - HR
- - Operations
- - Training
- o People Development
- Enable superlative performance standards through alignment of the team with the organizations objects.
- Ensure clear communication of the overall strategies and drive ownership on all tasks expected to be performed by the Branch team
- Develop Competencies of the team
- Ensure implementation of the Development plans.
5.Customer Relationship Management- External
- o Actively network and build relationships in the defence establishments/ cantonments
- o Review of selling arrangements
- o Ensure adequate focus to the business
6. Code of Conduct and Compliance of all Regulatory norms:
- o Ensure adherence of code of conduct by the entire Team in respective branches
- o Conformation to all financial and administrative systems.
- o Ensure Compliance to all statutory & regulatory norms.
- o Ensure compliance with all the Branch norms set by DPLI.
Note: Looking for candidates to this Defence channel who have Defence experience or Defence background or Defence connectivity with life insurance or Bank experience.
- C. Job Specifications:
Qualifications: Graduate/ Post Graduate - MBA
Experience:
- o 5-9 years of experience in insurance industry, preferably from defence background. Should have experience of leading a team of result oriented Branch Managers.
- o Extensive people management experience from defence background
