The Gender Expert will be responsible for preparing a gender strategy, conduct gender gap analysis, deliver gender
sensitization training and develop analytical reports for various projects of Grameen Foundation India. Key elements
of the job include:
1. Development of gender strategy for different projects of GFI. Help prioritize key activities, ensure that
cross-cutting issues of gender are included, and provide strategic guidance on how best to achieve long
term impact and sustainable change.
2. Monitor, evaluate and analyze gender gap of the project and advice project team on its implications.
3. Provide advice on appropriate gender sensitive indicators for the project performance measurement
framework and support the project team in the monitoring and reporting of the programme
results/outputs and objectives against agreed indicators.
4. Deliver training on gender sensitization
5. Writing analytical pieces on mainstreaming and sensitization on gender issues
Experience and Qualification:
Commitment to eradication of poverty and alignment with Grameen Foundations mission
Post Graduate/ PG Diploma preferably in a relevant field from a reputed institution
8-10 years of relevant work experience of managing a gender mainstreaming with proven program
management experience
Knowledge and understanding of the institutional, legal and policy frameworks at national and local level that
impact the status of women in India
Strong knowledge and understanding of gender, power relations, women rights
Knowledge and experience of gender approaches and tools.
Good organizational skills, ability to work independently and to deliver results as agreed on time.
Ability to write results-based analytical reports
Experience of delivering training sessions on gender sensitization
Good interpersonal skills and influencing skills.
Strong computer literacy especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
This is an extremely hands-on role and the employee is expected to quickly understand the nature of demands,
respond quickly and diligently with highest quality outputs and empathy.
Reporting and collaboration: This position reports to the Project Director
