Job Description
We looking for a Senior Software Engineer for building large distributed applications. This is key position building a next generation system that will drive the creation of innovative cloud based solutions in the insurance domain for millions of consumers
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualified to have a direct impact on the product without much supervision
- Design, code, debug and test various functions
- Produce functional specifications and design documents
- Support and maintain developed code through system test and customer deployments
- Contribute to overall product requirements and design
- Complete defined tasks independently and actively helps others
- Establishes work for software engineers by breaking up tasks into objectives
- Improves team productivity. Participates in recruiting
Requirements:
- 2+ years of server side application development experience with Java
- Extensive experience with relational and nosql databases
- Hands on experience working with AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Deeply technical with a track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor
- Understands modular application design and has database modelling skills
- Strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Algorithms and Data Structures
- Able to create high quality code which is testable and maintainable
- Great problem solving skills
- Excellent team skills
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Pluses:
- Worked on building products specially in the consumer space
- Experience working in the insurance domain
- Experience with NOSQL databases
