We have urgent requirement for Sybase Admin
Exp:6+ yrs
NP:15 - 30 days Max
MOH:FTE
Loc:Pune and Chennai
JD : 5 to 10 years of related technical experience on Sybase Technology.
Manage all database objects in a large mission critical/production system
Be able to provide end to end DBA support system.
Should be expert in Database Upgrade, Fixpack Update, Install and Migration activities
Experience in database troubleshooting and analysis with tools like snapshots, event monitor and OS level commands and utilities.
Experience in performance analysis and health checkup of databases.
Worked on infrastructure and production support environments supporting very large databases
Expertise in Export, Import and Load. With good knowledge on Backup and Recovery strategies.
Analyze and resolve complex technical problems regarding the integration of object-oriented applications and infrastructure with relational database technology (Sybase )
Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.
Install, configure and implement databases as required by the business.
Performance tuning knowledge on Memory/spinlocks and other cache related parameters
Works on complex systems and project issues with senior IT management.
Demonstrates the ability to work in a team setting as well as an individual.
Strong communications and interpersonal skill.
Conduct POC and publish result on new features of DB2
Adherence of ITIL/ITSM Practices: ITIL-based IT Services Management with Incident, Change, Release and Problem management implementation
