Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in a Department of Science & Technology (DST) sponsored project, Development of AI based DSS for Improved Crop Water Use Efficiency under Regulated Deficit Drip Irrigation Regime in the Backdrop of Climate Change, under the Principal Investigator, Dr. Gopal Das Singhal, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar 201314 (U.P.). The position is temporary and is available immediately.
Essential qualification: M.E./M.Tech. in Water Resources Enginering/Hydrology/Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/Agriculture Engineering and 2 years of research experience in related areas OR M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/ Environmental Science/Remote Sensing and GIS and 2 years of research experience in related areas with qualified GATE or NET-CSIR-UGC
Desirable: Prior knowledge and research experience in the area of remote sensing & GIS. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in handling Sentinel data and developing vegetation indices.
Fellowship: Rs. 35,000/- pm + 8% HRA (as per DST norms) based on educational qualification and experience
Duration: 1+1 years (purely temporary).
Project Description: The project aims to collect and analyze the crop data of different soil and physiological parameters for different seasons.
