Job Description
Breakthrough is looking for an individual to conceptualise and bring to life a digital learning solution for knowledge-sharing and self-learning across all groups/stakeholders/employees of the organisation.
This is a large scale digitization project and the position will be responsible for creating and delivering the project end to end. This will involve hiring a development and creative team and interacting with the Learning and Development (L&D) team. This position will report to the L & D Head of the organisation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conceptualise the platform design and structure based on an understanding of the needs from the relevant teams.
- Work with the project team and the in-house teams at Breakthrough to complete project charter outlining goals, budget, scope, deliverables and timeline.
- Manage project from initiation to closure and be accountable for project results.
- Hire and build the project team. This includes the software development and the creative resources.
- Work with the in-house teams of Breakthrough across the relevant centres for input, support and review.
- Creatively use instructional design, learning methods and appropriate technologies to enhance learning and engage multiple learners through blended learning solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and LMS trends and integrate the learning into Breakthroughs learning platform
Skills and Qualification Required:
The candidate should have:
- Substantial and relevant experience in LMS development or with E-Learning companies having handled large scale deployment projects especially LMS, Moodle, etc.
OR
Substantial and relevant experience in deploying large development projects and creating and managing development teams, understanding of databases, web servers and development environments.
The following skillsets will also be relevant:
- Knowledge of UI / UX
- Understanding of Web Technology & Domain Architecture
- Should have experience and expertise in integration with other external database/applications (like SAP/PeopleSoft/Cornerstone) and also third-party social plugins
- Proven expertise in core PHP, MySQL/MSSQL, IIS/Apache and ability to foresee, plan and mitigate performance issues on these technologies
- Strong understanding of white labelling, LTI tools and multiple format content management
