Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Procurement Analyst works to maximize cost of software and services savings through logistical programs and or supply chain initiatives. They will work with stakeholders from internal cross functional business units, vendors and related third parties to identify opportunities and execute the necessary analytics to manage logistical programs. They will use Microsoft Excel based spreadsheets and various 3rd party business applications like vendr, scout360, and cleanshelf planning tools to determine the appropriate software and services savings by vendor. They will share program options and a recommendation to the VPs of IT Services, Product & Development, Engineering and other Operation functions as needed. With a program decision, the Procurement Analyst will manage the life cycle of the logistic program to include execution, score carding, payment setup, auditing, monitoring and course correction as necessary. They enjoy being a technical and business expert for 3rd party spending and ongoing analysis and supports the Vendor Management Office with their system expertise in evaluating supply chain initiatives and training other team members including vendor partners.
The Procurement Analyst is primarily responsible for:
Working with internal and external suppliers and, cross functional teams to secure the necessary data to analyze the Logistical Program or Supply Chain Initiatives
Execute necessary analyses to determine the appropriate recommendation for inventory and logistical practice to drive lower cost of software and services. Will utilize MS Excel based spreadsheets and applicable 3rd party tools to determine the appropriate economical inventory and savings
Work in a mode of continuous improvement to identify potential opportunities in the area of logistics and inventory to help reduce PlanSources cost of goods by determining least-cost products. Your responsibilities will span opportunities related to multiple departments software and 3rd party Utilization
Seeks continuous process improvement while identifying areas of potential business risk; communicates to Vendor Management Office with recommendation.
Analyze program structure and determine best qualification scenario for PlanSource.
Communicate analytical findings to stakeholders in an easy to understand actionable fashion.
Manage the life cycle of the logistic program to include execution, score carding, payment setup, auditing, monitoring and course correction. Provides on-going status report to the Vendor Management Office.
Create analytical models for disparate and complex vendor efficiency programs or projects related to new business/shift in Distribution volume.
Work with Departments to prepare annual budget commitments for all accrual programs across OPEX and CAPEX spend.
Review, audit and challenge vendor scorecards to ensure billing and value realization is captured.
Document and communicate program savings against historical performance. Problem solve shortfall and present action plan to Vendor Management Office.
Independently manage item maintenance activity to ensure program compliance.
Secure supplier signatures and Certificate of Insurance or other contract related documents as needed.
Lead and support efforts to improve procurement processes and efficiencies to reduce administrative time/expenses and increase accuracy in data provided. Participate on various projects as needed.
Actively participate in the preparation of bi-weekly status updates by providing logistical program updates and savings achieved, ensuring that all information is presented in a clear and concise format for senior management to review.
Develop tracking and reporting, including external and internal data to become single source of truth for the Vendor Management Office.
Documents the results of analysis and reporting activities using the appropriate templates or analysis tools
Provide expertise in procurement to peers and associates in making and evaluating decisions
Complete additional job-related training courses and/or seminars, as may be required for the job and/or assigned by Manager
Other duties deemed necessary by management

Hard Skill Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in Business or related field.
1-2 years experience in related project analysis position.
Specialist in data analysis, achieved by experiential or academic routes
Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, documentation and time management skills.
Strong communication skills: ability to create compelling written and verbal communication
Strong functional, technical, and detail orientation skill
Knowledge and experience gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes
Soft Skill Requirements:
