Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT project manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for organizing our clients technical projects and ensuring that all members of the operating team work efficiently. You should have an aptitude for thinking outside the box and enjoy critical thinking, organization, and overall team management.
IT Project Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Design technical developments with the technical team
- Establish and implement training processes and strategies for all technical personnel
- Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects
- Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
- Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
- Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
- Implement software life-cycle methodology
- Develop and maintain information technology plans which outline project status individual tasks, milestones, completion estimates, and resource allocation
- Coordinate the roll-out of beta and production releases
- Inspect projects for quality assurance
- Ensure customer satisfaction through post-project debrief with clients
- Document all estimates, project statuses, and project completion paperwork
- Work with the technical team to brainstorm new test ideas for technical projects
- Engage and communicate with clients on new / existing projects.
- Engage architects / Leads / Developers in technical discussions and deliver solutions to IT challenges
IT Project Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred (especially in the computer science or engineering scope)
- Certification in project management preferred
- 10+ years of IT Project experience with 3 years in Project management roles.
- Familiarity with IT standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA/HITECH, NIST, CSA/CCM
- Solid familiarity with programming languages. Should have been a developer / Tech Lead.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Business strategy aptitude
- Decision-making and leadership skills
