Job Description

We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of
applications aimed at mobile phones. Your primary focus will be development of Android
applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other
engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a
commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality
products is essential.
Responsibilities
Build and improve the mobile experiences for one of the leading companies in the
fastest growing space in IoT
Design and build applications for the Android platform
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Skills
3+ years of hands on experience in developing and testing apps on Android for
large scale applications
Hands on knowledge of Android Architecture Components and Androidfeatures
Strong foundations in Java, OOPs, Design Patterns, Clean Codefundamentals
Good understanding of interactive application development paradigm
Working knowledge with dagger, okhttp, retrofit, rxjava, butterknife, glide, espresso,
mockito, powermock or equivalent libraries on Android
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Experience with performance and memory tuning
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knack for benchmarking and optimization
Ability to write high quality code which is modular, functional, testable and reusable
with excellent unit test coverage.
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and bestpractices
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
Familiarity with continuous integration
Ability to get stuff done
