Job Description
SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) is an important module of SAP ERP consisting of business processes required in selling, shipping, billing of a product. The module is tightly integrated with SAP MM & SAP PP. Key sub-modules of SAP SD are Customer and Vendor Master Data, Sales, Delivery, Billing, Pricing, and Credit Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Gather/document functional requirements and translate functional needs into technical solutions
- Strong knowledge in business requirement gathering, BBP preparation, Initial stock upload, Test Scripts/Case preparation, User manual preparation, Unit testing and Integration testing
- Configure, test, support and implement SAP SD solutions
- Should have strong cross functional knowledge with FICO, MM, PP, QM
- Good knowledge about SD Business Processes: Contracts, Sales Order, Delivery Processing, Shipment processing, Billing, Credit/Debit Memo Processing, Sales Returns, Free of charge delivery, STO, rebates processing and free goods determination
- Configuration: Sales Document Types (Sales Order, Delivery, Billing), Item category, Pricing Procedure and Pricing Conditions types, Output type Settings & Determination, Customer Master Data Settings, Partner Function and Partner function determination, Copy Control, Shipping Point determination
- Master Data: Customer Master Data, Pricing Condition types, Output condition types (Order Confirmation, Delivery Note, Billing)
- Good knowledge about Interfaces
- Knowledge about user exits and debugging techniques
- Good experience in Batch Management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor of Technology / B.E or equivalent field, OR a combination of relevant education and experience
- Minimum of 8+ years of strong, professional, IT technical SAP SD experience
- Problem-solving, planning, and organizing
- Verbal and written communication, including effective listening and strong interpersonal skills
- Work proactively in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Accept responsibility and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Interact effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Adapt to new situations, and maintain a positive attitude
- Subject to the on-call rotation, after hours, and weekend work has given the 24x5 need for support and maintenance.
