Job Description

The Proposal Managers at Zones play an extremely crucial role in creating the formal responses on Client Opportunities. They work in close collaboration with the Solution Architects to understand the solution that is being proposed for each opportunity. Once the solution is finalized, the Proposal Managers convert the solution into a proposal document that is submitted to the client. The submitted documents include any of the following: Proposals, Orals presentation, Statement of Work. There is only one simple metric for success - Winning. Proposal Managers Win by creating a compelling articulation and presentation of the solution.
Responsibilities:
The Proposal Managers in ZonesGlobal Solution and Delivery Center, India will interact with the in-country Sales and Solution Architects in various countries as well as with clients to carry out the following responsibilities
  • Understand all dimensions of scope of the opportunity in its minutest detail - hardware, software, services, geography, time
  • Participate in client interaction thru the lifecycle of the opportunity - bidders conference, QA sessions, oral presentations
  • Understand the hardware and software architecture for the solution as well as estimated effort, skills and timeline required for implementation
  • Articulate all aspects of the solution in a compelling manner in the appropriate submission / presentation format
  • Participate remotely or in-person in solution presentations / walk throughs with clients
  • Develop / improve processes, tools, metrics that enhance the quality, speed and productivity of the solutioning processes. This would include creating content repositories for re-use, pricing and estimation guidelines as well as benchmarks,
Required Skills and credentials:
  • Experience and sufficient knowledge in one or more of the following solution environments:
    • Data Center Cloud: Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Backup, BCDR, Cloud Analytics, Containerization, DevOps
    • Network Optimization: LAN, WAN, SD-WAN
    • Security: Security Assessment, End Point Security, Authentication and Data Security
    • Workplace Modernization: M365, MDM, Collaboration, Store and Branch Modernization
  • Eye for detail in ensuring that the response submitted addresses all stated and implied expectations of the client
  • Extremely strong articulation that creates a high impact on the client. This includes communicating a complex solution in a structured, simple and clear manner in a written and presentation form
Required Experience:
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in information technology pre-sales and/or delivery with leading Technology Consulting firms
  • Experience should span Hardware, Software, and Services - Professional Services and Managed Services ranging from small quick turnaround proposals to those that can span a few hundred million dollars
  • Technology experience should cover the four Solution Environments that are the focus for Zones - Data Center and Cloud Transformation, Network Optimization, Workplace Modernization and Security Fortification
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team
