Job Description
The Computer Vision and Image Processing (CVIP) team of Data Science Group (DSG) develops scalable solutions involving images and videos in conversational space. With heavy usage of smart phones and laptops in conversational domain, the user interaction is soon going beyond textual and voice chats to those involving images and videos. And the bots like chat-bot and voice-bots are going to be extended to video bots. We are looking for highly motivated and qualified researchers to be part of our team. This role is ideal for candidates with strong skills in research and technical implementation.
As a part of the CVIP team, you are expected to:
- Be thorough in the theory of image processing and computer vision: Image registration, image retrieval, multiple-view geometry and transformations, optimization and estimation, significant point detection and image descriptors.
- Build and deploy computer vision solutions either on the edge or cloud.
- Experiment with new machine learning algorithms suitable for the business use cases.
- Analyze the performance of models and related business metrics and provide insights.
- Understand client s business to be able to articulate the business problem, create relevant solutions using technical knowledge and deploy the solutions to drive revenue.
- Optimize and tune the solutions/models for the client context.
- Communicate with end clients on solutions, recommendations and performance.
- Collaborate and work closely with several key stakeholders (account, engineering, and product and RD managers) to drive revenue generation.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master s degree from reputed institutes like (IISc, IITs, IIITs or reputed international universities) with relevant RD experience in one of the following fields:
- Computer Vision
- Image processing
- Computer Graphics and Augmented Reality
- Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence
- Video processing/compression
Desired Hard Skills:
- 1 to 2 years experience in using computer vision and augmented reality toolkits e.g., OpenCV etc.
- Experience with general purpose programming languages e.g., C/C , Java, Python.
- Experience in Big Data technologies - Spark, Hadoop (optional).
- Experience working with Databases and SQL Queries (optional).
