Job Description:
The position will be accountable for:
(1) Product Quality
(2) Warranty Cost
(3) TQM
Details as below,
Product Quality improvement by establishing Strong Supplier Quality, Incoming Quality, Production Process Quality, Pre-Shipment Inspection / Customer Quality Audit Processes &Field Quality towards improving the Product Quality and CustomerSatisfaction
Drive TQM at Entity level; including setting up the process and standards (SOPs), ISO / QMS certification (MR), Lead Quality events (Kaizen work shops), Quality Circles, Lean Six sigma certifications etc.,
Warranty Cost Monitoring & Reduction thru Service Incidents (Service Call) analysis and continually improve the process of Call Center, Supplier/Plant operations and Service Engineer Skill Development through systematic (Lean Six Sigma) approach.
Liaising & Collaboration with,
o L&D teamtowards Product knowledge and Diagnostics Skills improvement of Tech Support Executives, Call Center Executives and Partner engineersetc.
o Tech partners / Suppliers(QBR with ODMs) on warranty trend vs incoming quality improvement initiatives and work with SCM team to amend the contractual clauses specific to Quality / Warranty
o End customers / sales partners on Technical / Quality queries and Escalation managementto complete within stipulated time by managing either internal resources or tech partners / suppliers
o Sourcing Team on Supplier Development and perform Supplier Quality Audits
Monitoring End-of-Life of components/modulesthrough continuous understanding of the technology advancements and propose sustainable solutions.
Assisting Product Management / Sourcing Team by Setting performance standards for new products / Suppliers to enable faster & robust product launch

Project Management
Qualification / Experience:
Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from a reputed Engineering Institute.
12 - 15 years +of strong Product Quality experience from Electrical, Electronics, Auto Electronics industry.
Knowledge on peripherals, AIDC devices, POS devices will be preferred
Very good knowledge in MS Excel / Power Point / Word / Project mgmt. is preferred
Expertise in latest Quality Concepts, Quality Tools, Quality Metrics
Black Belt Certifications is preferred
