2. Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods for preventive, predictive, breakdown maintenance, Total Productivity Maintenance (TPM)
3. Training operators and maintenance workers in maintenance of machines
4. Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment fault
5. Diagnosing breakdown problems
6. Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly
7. Carrying out quality inspections on repair and rehaul jobs
8. Liaising with engineering and production colleagues for production challenges
9. Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
10. Controlling maintenance tools, spares and equipment inventory and maintaining history of each machine and development work
11. Budgeting, monitoring and controlling maintenance costs
12. Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
13. Improving health and safety policies and procedures in coordination with Production Engineer
14. Working with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines
15. Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
16. Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
