Big Data Developer, @ AgreeYa Mobility

Job Description:
- Participates as a member of big data development team; may lead a small development team.
- Performs analysis of functional and business requirements. Completes code to implement solutions.
- Contributes to design activities; may design solutions.
- Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Database Administration, ETL Design, Data warehousing).
- Designs, prepares and executes Unit tests.
- Applies Cloudera/Hortonworks Hadoop technologies to software solutions of high complexity.
- Independently implements end-user or enterprise infrastructure of moderate complexity or services prepared by more senior technologist for more complex solutions.
- Has working knowledge about public cloud analytic platforms such as HDInsight, AWS, Google Cloud
- Has hands on work experience on scripting in Perl, Pig, Java
- Has experience using Sqoop, Flume, Impala, HBase.
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically a technical Bachelor's degree from a known university or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of four years of experience.
- 4 or more years of experience with data warehousing, including work on ETL.
- An understanding of RDBMS databases such Oracle and SQL in general.
- Familiarity with dimensional modeling as it applies to data warehousing.

Knowledge and Skills:

- 4 or more years of experience writing code (such as, and not limited to, C, PL/SQL, T-SQL) Unix Shell scripting; databases like Oracle/SQLServer; and Testing tools.
- An understanding of Kimball data warehouse methodology.
- Familiarity with the UNIX operating system.
- Familiarity with UNIX shell scripting.
- Understanding of Oracle Database Administration.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Advance understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- Advance understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.
- Understanding of quality and security standards.
