Job Description

• locating suitable venues
• financial and managerial administration
• marketing and selling exhibition space/stands
• coordinating sponsorship
• advertising and publicising events
• liaising with caterers, suppliers and contractors
• writing promotional material/press releases
• overseeing the production of tickets and advertisement material
• undertaking market research
• ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

• Through empowering staff, develop a highly motivated team, flexible and multiskilled team who take pride and ownership in their work
• Maintain a high profile in service areas, especially during the busy periods
• Ensure compliance with any financial and related procedures and in doing so shall
• Proactively monitor sales, margins and expenses, and in identifying negative variance against budget, taking appropriate and timely remedial action.
• Work in safe manner, seeking to minimise hazards to ensure the safety of other staff and customers, and reporting all safety hazards
• Ensure that all health & safety, fire and building regulations and procedures are complied with
• Ensure pipe cleaning is completed as required, and gas supply is maintained and in working order
• Act as duty manager, opening and securing premises
• Monitor, supervise and report back the work of the security staff
• Be the night time operations senior member of staff, coordinating the evening evacuation policy of the building
• Review and update Risk Assessments, and ensure understanding amongst staff
