Lead Software Engineer - IDR @ Cerner

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will l ead the architecture, design and develop enterprise products. You will proactively identify gaps in the development process, acting as a catalyst for change for greater system and solution efficiency. You will provide direction in architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews on functional correctness, architectural maintainability and performance. You will leverage deep technical and solution expertise to create clear, well-constructed technical designs of large scope and code for high-risk projects that have solution dependencies within and outside the current team and promote engineering culture and values across the organization. Additionally, you will influence and lead a team of engineers at the project level by delegating tasks, mentoring the team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology, Computer Applications.
• At least 8 years of work experience in software engineering.
• At least 4 years of work experience in technology development including Java/J2EE, Python and Django/ Flask.
• At least 3 years of work experience in front-end technologies, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

• Proficient in code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN.
• Lead the architecture and design changes for a large scale application.
• Experience in REST APIs and Microservice development and any RPA (Robotic Process Automation.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or any cloud platform.
• Ability to clearly articulate problems and solutions.
