Job Description
Demonstrate and carry out efficient nursing care, taking care of personal comfort and toilet of patients, administration of drugs and treatment, observation and recording of vital parameters. 4. Supervise patients diet. . Assist Medical staff in examination of patients and treatment. Provide direct patient care and services in the assigned unit. Monitor patients throughout the shift and report any emergencies to physicians promptly. Address patient complaints in a timely fashion to ensure patient satisfaction. Serve as a resource in interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care. Develop individual care plan to meet patient needs and achieve treatment goals.
- Record patients medical records and monitor vital signs.
- Supervising nursing staff and monitoring their needs.
- Coordinating daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing assignments and patient care.
- Overseeing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Mentoring and training new staff and providing support and guidance to all staff members.
- Monitoring medical charts and providing compassionate care and assistance to patients and families.
- Liaising with doctors and administrators and communicating any protocol changes to staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Recording and maintaining accurate reports.
- Identifying issues or emergencies and responding in a calm and efficient manner.
- Manage the nursing care for all patients in the cardiology unit during your shift.
- Delegate the shifts tasks to all of the nurses in the unit and coordinate with physicians who might need assistance
- Recognise changes in patients condition and respond appropriately
- Supervise orderlies as they complete their assigned tasks and point out any changes or improvements that need to be made
- Detect any issues that could result in injuries or other difficulties for patients or staff members
- Inform physicians of any changes in patients progress, condition or medicinal needs
