Job Description

POSTION SUMMARY KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

This position deals with the support, development and enhancement of a POS(point 0f sale) Devices. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting, scoping, design, implementation, testing, and systems integration of software components for this system.

Development involves the following system areas:

• Retail Device Subsystems
• Systems Diagnostics and utilities
• Test software This project is being jointly developed with the help of several other internal and external software development groups both in the US and abroad.
• The incumbent will be required to gain expertise in various vendors system software during the course of the project. The ability to work effectively in a team environment composed of peers and cross-functional members is very important as is the ability to be focused and a self-starter. Local and International travel may also be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Formal education level: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education with 5+ experience in similar role.
• Scope, Design, Implement, and Test software subsystems and components in Windows and Linux(Yocto) OS.
• Experience on board bring up activities
• Experience in Systems-level software design and development
• Experience in C, C++ required, Win32, COM/ActiveX and C runtime Libraries and APIs
• Experience on Linux/Windows drivers and data buses like SMBUS,PCI,ISA, Memory Mapped/Port IO, GPIO
• Organization and Attention to detail required Development Environment
• Experience with any of GitHub and Subversion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relevant Bachelor / Master Degree Further experience in any of above basic qualifications
• Checkout Application knowledge POS Experience with multi-thread COM development UPOS knowledge Object Oriented Design and Analysis experience .
• Experience Multi-threaded development
