Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for transitioning (from our worldwide locations) and managing R2R activities once transitioned, including statutory & tax accounting (Local/US GAAP), US GAAP, HFM, account and balance sheet reconciliations, inter-company billing & settlement, recording monthly accruals/amortizations and other cost journals, hedge accounting, supporting tax filing and tax reconciliations
- Manage month/ quarter/ year end processes and ensure books of accounts are closed timely
- Drive the preparation of the financial statements for segments / entities (as appropriate) and interact with senior stakeholders for this purpose.
- Manage a large team and be responsible for their functional and administrative deliverables,
- Ensure all month end activities are completed within agreed time and of the highest quality and ensure that team metrics/KPIs are met
- Support various internal and external audits relating to R2R activities
- Provide timely and effectively communicated responses to internal and external inquiries
- Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the R2R function, in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
- Any other tasks as assigned by the FSS Global Leader
Desired Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of work experience
- Experience in working for a global organisation preferably with engineering companies in the oil & gas sector and having experience in managing R2R transitions
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems required
- Should have supervised teams of 30+ team members being majorly responsible for hiring, productivity, attrition and performance management
- Expert understanding of technical accounting, SOX compliance, financial statement reporting/ close process
- Experience in driving process improvement/ process re-engineering in the R2R function
- Good knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) and Smartview would be an advantage
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong analytical skills and ability to independently communicate effectively with senior management
- Strong presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills
