Job Title: Conventional Machinist
Location:Canada
Duties
Setup and operate a variety of machine tools to cut or grind metal, plastic or other materials to make or modify parts or products with precise dimensions create custom parts, assemble, dismantling and repairing machine for our specialized equipment in Tooling Industries.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations
Computing dimensions and tolerances measure and lay out work pieces.
Setting up, operating, repair and maintenance of various types of conventional machines tools.
Performing Conventional Milling, Grinding, Drilling, Turning, Tapping, and Sawing.
Verifying dimensions of completed parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Handling various types of measuring instruments such as Vernier callipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, Pin gauge, Slip Gauge etc.
Qualifications:
Min Trades or Diploma in technical education.
Minimum 3 years demonstrated ability to set up and operate Conventional Machines such as Milling, Grinding, Turning, EDM and Wire EDM is Mandatory.
Single piece machining skills is preferred. Not production machining.
CNC knowledge and Repairing of Machines is Advantages
Tools assembly and dismantling such as molds and dies is Advantages
Effectively communicate information with managers and other employees
Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to cross train on other types of machinery is an asset
Industries Preferable : Tooling, Aerospace, Oil & Gas Industry.
Salary:
CAD 55,000 CAD 75,000 per year
Type of visa: Transitional Work Permit to Permanent Resident VISA
English level: 50% and above Average
